Interesting... Does anyone know any studies Using MIST as secondary task? I mean doing a prime task, like spatial navigation task, while doing MIST battery of tasks? Would you consider it as interesting idea?
How close to the real world daily situation would you consider MIST?
Well, there is a large number of stress tests available, but their appropriateness really depends what you are trying to achieve. Physiological stressors, for instance, mostly drive activity of the sympathetic nervous system, whereas socioevaluative stressors are also capable to induce HPA axis activity. Moreover, one might consider the tradeoff between utility and ressources that are required to implement a specific stressor.
I attached two recently published articles that compared different stress protocols.

One simple approach is to have participants write down a list of the things they need to get done, outstanding bills, work assignments, health and fitness issues, repairs, and so forth. Spending 10 minutes writing them down (and of course thinking about them) will make most people feel a bit stressed-out.
Whatever approach you use, remember the need to not only debrief, but also help people get past the stressful feelings, afterward. (I'm sure your IRB would remind you, but best to be proactive!)
your comment is a bit harsh. I did my homework - I checked the reviews, looked at many paradigms, yet didn't find any satisfactory answer. That's why I wrote a general question to induce a brainstorm that would give me some lids I didn't though about yet, instead of answering the precise question. Which it did. Two brains are better than one, aren't they? :)
Furthermore, I am not going to write on forum for everyone my study design, since I am bounded by confidentiality of the whole grant.
Moreover, the current question was not aiming for helping me with the current study desing, but with the upcoming studies, starting from new hypothesis.
Nevertheless, Thank you for your criticisms, I appreciate it. I will take it under consideration.
