Muscle/ joint contractures feature in late stage dementia and post stroke, but the size of the problem is unclear. In order to investigate interventions, it would help to understand time course and prevalence. Any ongoing or relevant studies?
Hi Catherine - you might want to edit the wording of your main question (if possible) to attract more hits - the 'contractors' means something a little different (I think it autocorrected as it just did to me below!) and the question doesn't look like it's complete.
I am not sure if they look at rates of contractures but the V. Feigin group do large scale epidemiological studies on stroke and might be worth a look.
