To be on the safe side, it is better to develop your own questionnaire. Very often, we wrongly assume that a prefabricated questionnaire can serve our purpose because we think designing questionnaires is a formidable task. However, thanks to Zoltan Dornyei (2003), you can design one following his guidelines.First, define your construct, socio-affective strategies and identify its sub-domains. Next, prepare a pool of items. Consult an expert, usually your colleagues, about the efficacy of the items and eliminate and replace the prompts that are weak. Afterwards, by using pilot testing you should measure the reliability of the instrument. Try this and you would discover its benefits.
