we work on forward osmosis membrane. the support layer is aminated PVC and the active layer is polyamide. for synthesis of polyamide , I follow the routine methods of interfacial polymerization using MPD and TMC monomers which mentioned in the routine methods of PA synthesis procedures in the articles. The synthesized membrane flux is acceptable, which is 1.5 to 2 LMH/bar, but the NaCl rejection in the dead end system is lower than 40% or sometimes 0%, while is should reach over 90%.

Would you please explain what the problem could be in the 0% salt rejection of PA, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with this problem.
