What do you mean with "secondary métabolites" ? Humus is a "secondary métabolites" ?

Is that these are minor components of plants? aromatic molecules, polyphenols anthocyanins of bigments.etc. What do you mean exactly with "secondary metabolites"?

May be my question was not enough clear. I want to know if there is a database when entering the name of the plant, it gives me known main compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic compounds etc......
