Hi Mohammed, With the concept of Super-SILAC being new, I doubt it has grabbed the attention of the industries. The industry must first recognize wide potential--if any--of such mixes, which, I think, would not be a viable, marketable option. Because, there are numerous cell types in study world-wide in the context of numerous diseases and metabolic conditions, and it is not a viable option for a company to keep the mix (for numerous combinations) to sell. I may be totally wrong in this assumption; but I guess the best that you can expect is to get a mix custom-prepared by a cell culture company for the cell types that you want. But, if you are growing 12 different cell types in your lab and if you are focusing on a problem where the ultimate proteome can arguably be covered by a mix of all those cells, then it will be easier for you to make your own mix. So, I doubt you can get a mix to buy from somewhere. But if you find any, do post here so that we can all get to know about it. You might want to forward a brief inquiry to someone like Paul Tempst or Mathias Mann.
Thanks for the answer. JPT peptides are making them for the MRM and maybe at one stage it can be used for both thechniques. who knows, thanks for your contribution.
