I need to calculate Ca and F saturation indices for thousands of samples, so entering each sample into PHREEQC isn't really feasible. Is there anyway to use data in a spreadsheet or in the grid to calculate multiple SI all at once?
Thanks for your response Philip. I've actually found that if you download the latest version of PHREEQC (once the USA govt shutdown ceases) you can use a new command called SOLUTION_SPREAD, and you can just cut and paste columsn straight from excel and run. You can also use USER_PUNCH to specify what commands/results you want in what columns in the output and SELECTED_OUTPUT to specific an output. So the result is a bunch of columsn in the output with the SI or log[a] or whatever you want for each sample. Thought i'd post this as it took me a while to figure this out and hopefully it will save someone some time.
Des is correct. However, it is not a new feature and any PHREEQC versions will have this capacity. It is easiest if you make the file in excel and then paste it into PHREEQC.
