I'm trying to run a simple cross-classified multilevel model in MLwiN, and I would like to be able to set it up using a macro, but I can't find any information on the codes to use - I hope somebody can help me with this problem.
To clarify, the data are equivalent to pupils who begin in a primary school and then move to a secondary school - not all pupils from one primary school go to the same secondary school.

In relation to your substantive area you may also want to think about the interaction cross- classification. So not just Primary Schools + Secondary Schools but also
Primary Schools + Secondary Schools + (Primary Schools * Secondary Schools)
for therandom effects so it is the combinatiosn of both types where they do (say) particularly well or particularly badly
