I have some question about questionnaire scoring. I would be grateful if anyone kindly guides me in these questions. My questions are:
If The response Likert for questions 14 to 17 are different from those of other questions? How these questions scored?
In cognitive restraint factor which includes questions 2,11,12,15,16 and 18, it seems that question 2 is in contrary to other questions, should question 2 be recoded?
What is the scoring of question 18?

Items 14 and 17 are coded in reverse (i.e. the first answer option is 1, the last is 4).
Item 2 shouldn't be recoded it asks a questions in the same direction as the other questions, namely how much people limit their food intake based on their cognition, if you compare item 2 and 11 for instance, you can see they are quiet similar.
Item 18 should be scored as follows:
1&2 = 1,
3&4 = 2,
5&6 = 3;
7& 8 = 4.

Many thanks for your quick response. I think in question 2 the "deliberately take small helpings" means that people consciously do not limit their food intake. so it is different from other questions, doesn't it?
I think that in this case deliberately taking a small portion is operationalized as limiting food intake as this will lead to less food eaten (because the portion is smaller).
