I am modeling column reinforcement concrete in Abaqus, I modeled reinforcement as a wire geometry and truss element but I should use bolt two side of longitudinal reinforcement. anyone know how can I define interaction between bolts and reinforcement in the situation or I should model reinforcement as a solid geometry?

2. There are 2 options to define the Cohesive behavior i.e through contact interaction and through discrete elements, refer to section 35-39 of ABAQUS Analysis User's manual in the given link. These section explains contact modelling in detail.

3. use C3D8 for both the concrete and rebars. You can define a thin layer of cohesive elements around the rebars.

You can model reinforcement as a solid element (C3D8R) or use of coupling constraint between bolt and wire bars.
