I’m looking for books, journal articles, research monographs etc. focusing on conflict mediation by the Arab League, the African Union and the European Union from comparative perspectives.
Global Perspectives on Organizational Conflict by Rahim and Blum (1994) might be useful. But it focuses on organizational conflict and it sounds like you might be interested in international conflict.
I hope some of this could be useful: 1.Mediation and Dialoque Faciliation in the OSCE, Reference Guide, OSCE 2014, http://www.osce.org/secretariat/126646 ; 2.Bothe Michael, Ronzitti Natalino, Rosas Allan (eds.): The OSCE in Mantenance of Peace and Security, Kluwer Law International 1997;; 3.Schneider Patricia, Müller-Wolf Tim J. Aristide: “The Court of Conciliation and Arbitration within the OSCE: Working Methods, Procedures and Composition”, Centre for OSCE Research Working Paper 16, Hamburg 2007, http://edoc.vifapol.de/opus/volltexte/2008/597/pdf/CORE_Working_Paper_16.pdf;; 4.Handbook on the Peaceful Settlement of Disputes Between States, United Nations, Office of Legal Affairs, New York 1992, Pp. 92-96, http://www.un.org/law/books/HandbookOnPSD.pdf ; 5.Hoffmeister Frank: “The European Union and the Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes”, Chinese Journal of International Law, 1/2012, 77-105. 6.Govender Kruschen, Ivette Ngandu: Towards Enhancing the Capacity of the African Union in Mediation, Adis Ababa 2009; 7.Berkovitch Jacob, Huang Kwei-Bo, Teng Chung-Chian (eds.): Conflict Management, Security and Intervention in East Asia: Third Party Mediation in Regional Conflict, Routledge 2008; 8.Baboucarr Jagne, Bosco Valerio: „United Nations – African Union cooperation in conflict prevention and mediation“, in: Sharamo Roba D., Ayangafac Chrysantus (eds.): The State of Human Security in Africa, Institute for Security Studies, Pretoria 2011, 211-248.
Thank you for drawing my attention to this book by Rahim and Blum. Though not directly related to my project, I'll check it out to see whether it can be useful in any way. Thanks again.
