if i understand your question correctly, you want to attach a sinusoidal variation to the piezo device.
Declare a electrical circuit consisting of a voltage source and attach to a predefined node on the piezo device. Then perform simulation with a frequency sweep.
under piezoelectric device physics mechanical vibration defined using prescribed displacement, prescribed acceleration, body load, boundary load, but I am not sure which one and how to provide A*sin(wt) vibration until displacement happen in -z to +z (sin)
1. As u have a piezo cantilever, you must constrain the one surface and apply a condition in the structural boundary condition. In the electrostatics B.C you must ground the two ends.
2. go to studies subsection and give preset studies> time dependent. This allows you to capture time phenomenon, here u have a Times tab , wherein you can give the range. some how emulate sin function.
OR
3. apply a boundary load (with amplitude versus frequency from an interpolation table or an equation) and a frequency domain solver, this will interpret ALL boundary loads as harmonic amplitudes, and define your frequency range() in the solver settings.
Thank you for your explanation. I applied boundary load to the surface. But how to apply sin function to the boundary? How to define the force in boundary load setting?
i think as we are discussing here its better u send ur queries to me at rfbuzz@gmailcom, if possible i will show u online also through video chat or we discuss it online.
HI ALL IAM WORKING ON SURFACE ACOUSTIC WAVE SENSOR .I AM MODELLING IN COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS.Iam unable to get proper admittance versus frequency curve in the model.pls help me.iam new to comsol
