I got one gram of graphene oxide sheet from Abalonyx company for trial. It has this properties: The surface area is theoretically around 2000 m2/g. The material is single layer in very dilute suspensions in water as seen with AFM, but in more concentrated suspensions more and more layer come together.
Particle size is on the average around 1 micron, but the size distribution is very broad. I do not have exact information. The purity is 99 % as there are no other visible crystalline compounds present as seen from XRD. But, we cannot guaranty that there are no amorphous particles present. The chemical composition is mainly C, O and also small amounts of S, N and Cl from the oxidation reaction. C/O-ratio is about 1.9 atomic ratio. The pH is about 3.4. I am worried about the low pH and the impurities of S, N and Cl from the oxidation reaction. I think that it was not washed well. I will use it to make TiO2/GO composite for organic pollutant removal. Please, May you give me your opinions in these properities. I can not decide to buy more or not because i am afraid from low pH and impurities

With that description I would buy th e material. But I can send a little sample... the size of sheets is very broad due to oxidative process for synthesis. Graphene dispersion can be understood as a polyacid. Once ionized it disperses very well...
