I have several soil samples - sand, clay and limestone. And i'd like to measure their electrical resistance/resistivity, but I can't find a protocol. Could anyone provide some method to this kind of measurements? Thanks.
I have one Testing Method ( IS: 15736-2007) which is recommended by Sigma Soil testing center (http://www.sigmatest.org/Soil-Testing-India.html). But, as you can see, it is mainly for Indian standards. Nevertheless, maybe it can help you!

Just to be clear, are you talking about the electrical resistance/resistivity of two soils and a rock type?
Hi, Shan Xu. I am studying the measurement of (complex) resistivity of these samples. And I design an instrument system to measure complex resistivity of samples of rock, soil, water, fluid, and so on. We made a lot of testings and measured the complex resistivity of sample sent by BGP. The input impedance of this instrument is great than 1 T ohms, about 1000 times of result shown in published data. It can make accurate measurement for sample, such as limestone, with ultra-high resistivity because of its ultra-high input impedance.
