Hello everyone, we are looking for a protocol to build up for the extraction of DNA from saliva, hair and blood samples collected from dogs, since extraction kits are not suitable for canine samples. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

DNA is DNA and it behaves the same no matter where it is from.
You can extract it from starfish, plants, flies on your food or from your neighbor next door.
It is all the same.

we usually used Qiagen extraction columns kit ! There are several protocols suitable following your needs. It works pretty well.

DNA from saliva is out of your concerns, the one I find more challenging. Specially if you need high quality for NGS analysis.
