QIAamp Power Fecal Pro DNA Kit (Qiagen) is good. Just one thing, I used distilled water instead of EB.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. Good news is that I am using DNeasy PowerSoil Pro Kit for extraction and getting good results.

For future reference, I used the kits with cow dung and found them to be very good and simple to use. For the most part I had good DNA yields and 260/280 ratios. I had no problem with subsequent qPCR in the lab. You might find that QIAGEN will send you a few samples to try if your lab has a connection with them.
