We are dealing with the work entitled Synthesis of silver nanoparticle from plant. I have faced problem with particle size analysis by DLS. We got silver nanoparticle size in the micron range not in nano size, Can anyone send me the exact protocol for nanoparticle synthesis from water hyacinth plant?

And i recommend you to use TEM or other tecnique for the size of nanoparticles

DLS analysis generally gives the hydrodynamic size of the particles i.e when particles are dispersed in any solvent, water molecules present in the solvent get adsorbed to particle surface forming a electron double layer around the particle, thus increasing the overall size of the particle. Hydrodynamic Size = Particle Size + Adsorbed Water Molecules

Please check by TEM whether you are getting nanoparticles or aggregation is taking place. If aggregation formation happens then one can try capping agents to stabilize the nanoparticles. Size of nanoparticles can be controlled by changing metal solution to extract ratio and varying incubation conditions. Use TEM to confirm the size.
