Aggregared pTau is Alzheimer brains can readily be measured with CP13 or AT8. However, normal Tau becomes quickly dephospphorylated post-mortem and cannot be measured.

I am not so sure, we did a study published a few month ago where we detected P-tau in post-mortem and freshly isolated brain (see PMID: 26556772). But thanks so much for your response, Dick.
