Does anyone have experience with TMB staining of CFC assay (hematopoietic colonies in methylcellulose)?

Hi,

I want to use 1-Step Ultra TMB-ELISA Substrate Solution as a substitute of benzidine for staining of murine hematopoietic colonies grown in methylcellulose (CFC assay).

Does anyone of you have experience with this substance and with this protocol? I found an old paper describing this method but I don't find any recent article about this. It is a reliable method?
