Does anyone have experience with the NASH & CHC murine disease model ?

Hi,

Working on liver tumor, I'm looking for a CHC murin model on NASH background that could be set in short-term (about few months). I've seen that model could be chemically or diet induced, I have no restriction for this.

If anyone have experiences on that kind of model, I would be pleased to have your opinion.

There are the usual models of chemically-induced HCC, like thioacetamide and diethylnitrosamine. However, the search for a good hepatocarcinogenesis model is an excellent endeavour, as it is clinically extremelly relevant. I would go for a multifactorial model: high sucrose, high fat diet and possibly add monossodium glutamate. I have no experience with this model, though.
