I want to see if incorporation of Dox into a particle can promote its entry into the Brain. I am planning to use an exposed brain preparation in the Luminex II. I would like to image the whole body distribution of the particles either in individual excised organs or better in the whole animal?
Dear Maurice! We are trying to solve the problem of "targeted" delivery of chemotherapy similar ways. At the same time, we are trying to find ways to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. One of our lines of research is to try to create nanoparticles conjugates or complexes with chemotherapy to obechpechit preserving antitumor effect and, simultaneously, reducing toxic side effects. Please beware that doxorubicin is quite brightly fluorescent.
Check the UV absorption spectra and fluorescence emission spectra, and avoid cross-talks.
