Does anyone have experience with a Genie Vortex Disrupter for RNA extraction?

I am looking for an affordable method of homogenisation of tissue (gut) for RNA extraction. Bead beaters are off our budget. The Genie Vortex disrupter claims to do much the same but at a fraction of the price. Does anyone have any experience with this apparatus?
