It should probably be fine but you might not be able to do blue/white screening since there is dye in the medium.

You can even use something as simple as tryptone or peptone broth (just tryptone or peptone and NaCl in water) if you can't get yeast extract. E. coli will just grow a bit slower. Or nutrient agar.
