This is a little piece of information by me: Naturetech documentary. Great doc about biomimetics. You can watch it on youtube. It consists of only 3 episodes unfortunately. Magic of motion, lifepower and material world. Amazing doc.

There are several journal articles: Journal of Bionic Engineering, Journal of Experimental Biology, Bioinspiration & Biomimetics. You can find many good papers that treat those topics.

You might want to look into the Australian Company BioPower. They are developing wave and tidal power systems based on the movement of sharks/tuna and kelp. I have written about them in the attached publication.
