I have to use an animal model of Alzheimer's disease that shows beta amyloid plaques and also Tau hyperphosphorylation but the only model that I found has a 129 background and I need a model with c57bl6 background. Tks
Hi Michele, if there is no mention of this transgenic in the literature, then it probably hasn't been done yet.
Crossing 129 into C57, genotyping the offspring and backcrossing them into C57 and genotyping each litter will be very expensive.
