I am looking at a scenario where by we have a laboratory information system for bioinformatics doing organism analysis and deducing if future outcomes could be an outbreak of a disease. Mainly in question is the plasmodium and its carrier.

There is just a guess a game. Plague, which is developed by CDC. I heard some plugin creator on it so it could be custumized with real life things.
CDC created the epidemic modelling for this tool so it could be very usefull
There is a need for IT or programing skills.
