if they do not further specify, it is probably just a 2 component device bought in a local supermarket. Chemically it is likely to be be bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. For the authors, just a method to get nanoparticles stuck on stainless steel rods. If you want to do own SPME fibres, just check suitability of your glue with a fibre only coated with glue and no stationay phase.

I was just thinking this epoxy resin should have a particular macro/meso porosity in order so retain accessibility of the MOF particles.
Is there any knowledge around this topic here?
I believe that with this method only particle surface area outside the glue layer is available to act as stationary phase.
So you assume that they coated the fiber with epoxy resin and then sticked it into the bulk particles in order to attach them. This is what i was thinking in the first place.
