Does anybody have a problem with FITC Dextran dye?

We are using FITC dextran dye for in vivo imaging. Ideally it should be stable in blood for more the 24 hrs. but in our case, after injection the dye diffuses from blood vessel to surrounding tissue in few seconds.

I can't think of any explanation for that. Is there any group having same Problem?

Blood vessels are permiable. Albumin (common protein) is 70kDa and can cross from the blood vessels to the tissue. Anything less than 70kDa (larger if inflammation) will diffuse out of blood vessels.
