You can take converged numerical Navier-Stokes solution from fluent and using fluent or tecplot or anything calculate heat flux at any point. Alternatively you can apply Fay-Riddel to your freestream parameters and sphere radius. Then compare with the former. Why UDF?

I believe he means a post processing UDF to calculate the convective heat transfer using the model given by Fay and Riddell.
