My DNA-RNA-bait hybridization reaction appears to be failing. The Dynabeads I am using were frozen once in their buffer solution upon delivery. Does this ruin the beads or has anyone continued to use beads like normal after freezing?
I am using the Dynabeads MyOne Streptavidin C1 for capturing biotinylated RNA baits.

In general, we do not recommend freezing of the beads - in particular for Dynabeads coated with functional proteins such as Abs. repeated freezing and thawing might also harm the surface and then the functionality. when this is said, I would not expect the performance to be affected by just one cycle of freezing and thawing. just give them a try and if the performance is not as expected get in touch with me at [email protected].
