I have invented the DC Transformer. It does, for DC power, everything that an AC transformer does for AC power. I would think that it would be quite useful in any or all, of your DC Micro Grids.
An AC transformer forms a continuous, reversible link, that. with a tiny, constant delay, reflects, or refers, either active winding to the other, as controlled by turns ratio. It does not store electric energy, as magnetic energy, for recovery at a later, variable, time. In the application, for which the DC Transformer was invented, Point Of Load [POL]
I contend that other DC-DC converters do not form the continuous, reversible link that a transformer, AC or DC, does. A more complete explanation is in lecture notes for presentation on 10 April, to IEEE San Diego Consultants' Network.
