Sometimes you make a research paper with an experiment, gain good results but your style of writing is not so good. Is this effects the quality of research paper?
Do you think that wording process effects the quality of research paper?
Yes it does - my personal experience is the better place to learn wording process is in thesis writing / short assignment write up whereby no. of words comparatively are less stringent vs research paper. In research paper, due to no. of words constraints - author(s) need to think & rethink deeper to maximize the message by condensing the words to the minimal as every single word counts.
Think the skill to use the right words / structure the sentences etc. can be improved when we critically read / learn from other journal articles as well as gone through the critique processes by previous article reviewers.
Outstanding coverage as usual. I like to quote your words "Think the skill to use the right words / structure the sentences etc. can be improved when we critically read / learn from other journal articles as well as gone through the critique processes by previous article reviewers" .I recommend this suggestion. Thank you so much for your valuable answer.
Of course it affects, for of that, there are committees to check the language in several journals and even at the level of research centers and some universities adopt such committees to modify the language to improve the level of research before sending it to international journals.
I tell my students that what they say is just as important as how they say it. Thus, a poorly written research paper with good content has only done half the job.
Certainly the write up and quality of prose is important and particularly so for a highly rated journal. However, there are now so many ways, even from some journals, to tackle this if it is ever a challenge.
In addition to all of the sociolinguistic variations that emerge in the society, many students still are required to master the conventions and standards of the academic contexts. This embraces the diversity of academic language use that they must accurately learn to meet their scholarly necessities.
yes off course its effects, now their was preliminary work doesn't match with new modern research direction, so we all need to be updated and fellow with new research interesting subjects.
The quality of the research will always prevail over the writing message. Obviously the researcher has the power to write the message more real, after all it is the work of his dedication. If the researcher is not from English-speaking domains and has a reasonable command of this writing, should already be writing simultaneously along the advances of his / her research. Since the English language is being requested by most groups of publications, we must begin to write each sentence in a more direct and short form in any language of the researcher's domain. In this way, the written message will become closer to reality when the conversion is made to the English language.
