Though it cannot be generalized but it seems to be mostly true. The standard of education in many of the private engineering colleges in India is not as good as government colleges. They do not have good faculty members and lab facilities. Libraries are also poor. Chance of getting job through campus interview in many of these colleges is negligible.
I agree and disagree with Subir Bandyopadhyay. There have been allegations against some private engineering colleges in India regarding poor infrastructure and lack of campus recruitment. In fact this is one of the prime causes of student unrest in these colleges.At the same time some private deemed universities have quite good reputation regarding infrastructure and campus recruitment.Examples of good private professional universities in India are,KIIT, SRM,VIT University,, etc.
