Not enough hard work alone for success must be available passion and love to work first Luck either it may have an impact in facilitating the task but if there is no love of work and the effort to complete it is not luck effect

Hard-work is a necessary but insufficient condition, it must be at the right place (environment) at the right time.

Hard work is certainly important, but it is pointless without presence of abilities of person in chosen profession. “Oranges will not be born from aspen” (Folk proverb), and also “Who born to crawl cannot fly” (M. Gorky). Sooner or later, a person asks the question "Am I a trembling creature, or I have the right?" (F. Dostoevsky). The answer is achieved not by hard work only, but by the ability to think.
