Personally I think is not morally permissible. Reason being this kind of thinking is short-cut to achieve certain goal(s) or selfish biased thought which is self-center & care less for others. If the person is the baby in the mother's womb to be aborted, not sure s/he will concur other's doing? As stated in Bible Luke 6:31 - "Do to others as you would have them do to you". Only God gives life and only He can take life according to His timing, not us human beings.
I strongly believe that this behavior is NOT morally permissible.

What about just some potential "sex selection conception," for example. Does that remove any issue of morality? To me, it's not a smart move, this sex selection of one's offspring, but whether or not it's moral would depend on how it's done.
Besides, little girls are wonderful. People are depriving themselves of something very special, and they'll never know.
The wrongful taking of precious life via any abortion procedure is unacceptable at all standards. It is against the accepted moral and holy principles.

Absolutely no! Only God can take away life, really. Abortion is murder.
From existing videos one can see the abortionist is trying to catch the baby, but the baby senses the would-be killer and retreats to the end of the tube. Finally the killer reaches to the end and catches his prey. Disgusting!
I am completely against such action. It is against humanity by killing new birth. It is not morally and educational behavior. It is no matter of religion here, all religions are against it.

I agree with Mariano but also with Cecilia. In particular, Cecilia's doubts are also mine but I do not have a generalizable answer for all cases. Perhaps, you have to deal with the case by case. However, when a pregnant woman may risk life to complete her pregnancy then I think it is necessary to propose abortion. A sort of therapeutic abortion. However, I would like to honor the memory of so many women that have wanted to be moms, even knowing that the refusal of the therapeutic abortion and of any kind of care that could harm the unborn, bringed their to the death. For these reasons I think it is very difficult and perhaps impossible to generalize and legislate on such a deeply intimate and very personal matter.
Sex-selection abortions are not morally permissible. Both sexes are equal. In India, sex selection abortions are illegal.
