I think people cannot stay home forever. There are financial commitments on each party (people, institutions, governments, etc.). Therefore, all industries, including tourism, will open momentarily and with control measures. No other choice.
Moving back to a normal state while the virus is taking its toll is not very wise. After all, the main purpose of travelling is enjoyment and relaxation and no one wants to visit plague stricken areas where the danger of death and sickness is high.
I have never endorsed the tourist openness announced by some countries, especially since there is no effective treatment or vaccine yet, as citizens' health is the most important thing from the economy, tourism, etc. As the human element is the basis for the progress of any country, but in the case of a real vaccine, countries can open up in all activities.
Yes I do because you can't wait one more year until a vaccine is produced and being commercially available. Its very wrong to imagine that after one year lets say of closure you can simply press a bottom and restart tourism again the next day! Alot of businesses would be already dead, alot of tourism professionals would have already found another job ,long list of damages really I can't count so a big no to closure until vaccine development
many aspects of life are disrupted and tend to collapse the impact of the covid plague, in my opinion there are 5 major aspects that are very influential in human survival and one by one will feel the impact, those aspect are: 1/ tourism-transportation (air, sea, land), 2 / property-manufacture-automotive (excluding logistics), 3 /telecommunications technology (internet, electricity, phone connectivity, 4/ education (at least in this year no classroom method, not all major effective with e-learning/online teaching method), 5/banking &financial business. if some countries has a policy to start open/welcoming tourist, due to recovery economy aspect also to generate business and avoid increasing unemployment, i will support as long as we obey follow the health protocol from WHO and each individual is compliant well and government of the country must be responsible if any tourist is infected in their country, cause this situation is part of consequences policy, sooner or later all aspects will get their turn, even human life more important then other aspect but life will keep goin forward, just be aware, stay safe, discipline & realize our daily routine are not same again (washing your hands often, physical distancing, wearing face mask when do activity, bring hands sanitizer & disinfectant)... cheers;)
In my opinion, as I have seen/watched in the news, the second wave is more difficult and risky at all. Incremental of COVID19 cases have been notices every day and that's not a joke, so, better stay at home.
The Corona virus threatens global tourism with paralysis. It is very wrong to imagine the resumption of tourism again in the countries of the world, and Iwaid opened tourism because it is fraught with risks as long as the virus exists until this moment and there was no effective treatment against the virus
International mobility is vital for economic reasons. Furthermore, we cannot stay in a bubble and hope to have enough immunity for resistance against viruses. Safety and mobility can both be accomplished by maintaining good personal hygiene.
I understand that world eceonomy is in a difficult situation and the stressed national economic circumstances may pressurize nations to take such steps. But without proper infrastructures and measures to tackle the situations, the action may expose tourists, economy, other infrastructural elements to further risks. Thus, a systematic global plan with approvals and implementable plans from local and international agencies, medical authorities can help open up tourism in a phased manner.
Yes, there will be no available proved vaccinations anyway. We should accept this as we were forced to accept other respiratory illnesses. Life continues
When the doubtful are bluntly asked, "Would you do it again, knowing what you now know ... countries, certain that the problem was soluble, within a similar period of time. ... Foxtfc UN in which we find ourselves are caused not by science, but by man's ... Feld is chairman of the Council for a Livable World which supports ...
I am support this way of thinking. Tourism is very important for economy, but for now is better to be reasonable unstead greedy. We have time for reopening.
Tourism is very important for economy of my country, but in this moment it is still dangerous. I only support partially, in delimited areas of some regions, with low risks and tight control.
I think that the best way to reactivate tourism should start by recognizing the local. It is a good opportunity to go back to tour the country itself. There will be time to travel the world
Yes, of course, but with all the preventive measures present and PCR for all the people before leaving their original countries 2-3 days before the departure date
I dont reckon to have a big booster completely. First of all, authorities should control their own contry to out of bad situation by the virus, at least they must protect their citizens
No, I do not support. It is possible to spend one year or two without foreign tourism for the purpose of safety. And it is possible to travel in Your own country during this one or two years, if there is a strong necessity to move.
A partial opening for some prime reasons such as Medical tourism (with all precautions in place) should be considered. Rather nations could focus on supporting domestic tourism and economy given that (a) covid-19 is yet to disappear totally and (b) we have serious concerns about how to revive and rebuild domestic tourism.
