It seems the Altman's paper had be seminal in many ways: do you know other applications and extensions of this methodology ?
Altman's work is also having a very practical application: a start up in London uses an advanced version of Altman's scores adjusted by country to provide ratings for firms. They are currently supplying information to Borsa Italiana and other financial institutions. The firm is Wiserfunding (www.wiserfunding.com) and Altman is one fo the main shareholders.
