I am an Austrian researcher. I started to write English-language publications last year. Since then, my passion as well as my respect for academic writing in English have been rising continually. Writing in English is a welcome challenge for me and I learn a lot.
My special question refers to the integration of direct German-language citations according to the APA 6 style. I also don´t know, how to cite German-language passages from transcripts (e.g. used for qualitative research) into English-language treatises.

Hi.This is what I used.Maybe you have tried it before.
"Working with Foreign Language Materials
Book/article titles and names written in Latin-based scripts (French, Spanish, German, etc.) can be cited with only minor adjustments.You must provide a translation of the title in square brackets. Do not translate names written in Latin-based scripts.

I would cite the original German text und add a translation into a footnote - or the other way round. Of the German text is already translated and an official translation exists, you should try to find it.
