I am looking for papers that address the problem of feedback to humans users. By this I mean an autonomous agent that would explain to a user what is the current situation, how it came to do this action or to reach this conclusion... for instance I am thinking about an autonomous Car that would explain to its (blind?) Passenger that there is a traffic jam or a virtual caregiver that explains to the patient that his latest blood measures are abnormal and so it will plan an appointment with his clinician.

That means you would be combining the powers of wireless sensor technologies and data analytics. The sensors obtain real-time signals of the situation on the ground and the data analytic strategy you are using makes sense from the signals are relay the interpretation to the user.
