My colleagues all know that valuable scientific research requires expensive costs. It is expensive in practical terms. The research needs labs and lab supplies and the researcher needs what he needs in his day-to-day work. These costs exceed the ability of the researcher. The university may also be unable to do so. I am talking about our countries that support scientific research in a very small way. Thank you colleagues in advance for your answers.

A country has to look for solutions for its own people. No researches mean to rely and pay for others in order to access technologies which does not match to other community as such.

We certainly need the support of the government to improve the scientific level of research.
The state is not the sole beneficiary of the results of scientific research, so the beneficiaries (companies, organizations, consulting and production projects) must support the requirements of scientific research. A simple look at the effort made by industrial companies in Europe to support scientific research will help to narrow the underutilized view of scientific research in the third world countries and their almost total dependence on state support.
Governments must demonstrate their commitments to scientific researches through their continued support through funding. Successful governments past and present make this a priority.

In addition to the governmental support, the researchers and academic and research institutions should insist to open channels with private sector for support. I think that there exist a large number of such channels which are not well used yet. In our country, Iraq, and despite the very limited governmental support, a good scientific research activities were done in the last few years by the Iraqi scientists and researchers, and this reflect the possibility of obtaining good researches through opening other channels of support away from the government......

If the research is expensive and requires state support. Such support should be considered as Investment and not as an expense.
In many countries, such as mine, Mexico, there is a parastatal body in charge of the Management and Evaluation of Research Funds, the National Council for Research and Technology (CONACYT)
with a budget assigned by the Mexican State in order to support several lines of priority research for the benefit of its population.

Yes I agree with you. Scientific research should take about 10% of the Country Budget, so that there will be a sign of scientific progress which is not the case at least here in IRAQ. Regards
In India, country is expending a lot of money for research. But due to many reasons, the expected outcome are not found in many fields. The research oriented job of the scientists is considered as a prestigious job with good salary and once become a permanent govt. staff, many of them spend their time in the subjects other than research.
So, govt.funding is required, but their should be no PERMANENT service. It hamper the forward positive thoughts of the people.

Countries have developed scientific research through an organized process, for example Malaysia. Our countries need to progress scientifically in many areas including construction, agriculture and others. The world is about to turn for using clean energy and oil will become a secondary commodity. Agriculture is a permanent oil and we need to develop it through scientific research and so on to other sectors.
We strongly need to support scientific research.
The state is supposed to take care of this, but what can we do?
