We have been doing explant culture, we tend to see slow growth in cells despite of the correct media change, and other factors.its Day 25 and we still see 20-30 %confluent only in P0.
Collecting exosomes from these cells, will these EVs also have slower effect, when used for treatment against cancer cell lines?
Or the growth rate of cells won't affect the functionality of EVs secreted from them?

EVs are generated through complex cellular mechanisms, and their production and cargo are influenced by cellular activity and state. The metabolic activity and protein synthesis are affected by cell’s growth rate. These cellular processes directly influence the types and amounts of molecules that can be packaged into EVs. For instance, rapidly dividing cells may have different nutrient requirements and stress responses compared to slower-growing cells. These factors can affect the composition and function of secreted EVs.
In short, the functionality of EVs can be affected by the growth characteristics of their parent cells.

I am afraid there is no other way to find out than doing the experiment. I do not think there is previous experience in this issue.
