Hi Dennis, this is an interesting question. I think the answer is definitely yes. Scientific findings are not as neutral as we would like to think. The selection of a certain research topic, the methodology chosen to investigate it, the type of questions asked, even the order of questions asked and of course the interetation of findings are influenced by personal and cultural beliefs. The adoption of scientific findings also depends on personal and cultural beliefs. The plurality of findings allows for an easier preference of certain findings than others.
