I have conducted a systematic literature review on Gender stereotype change outcomes. The paper was sent to a journal for publication. I have received the comments. One reviewer has asked about the PROSPERO CODE or Registration of the Protocol. I used the PRISMA Framework for the inclusion and exclusion of articles. I don't have any idea about this. I read some information on the internet about that. Do I need to get such a code for a topic like a gender stereotype change? how do I respond to such a comment. please help me
The reviewer is probably asking if you have registered your protocol with the PROSPERO, if you havnt registered just inform the reviewer that the current review was not registered with PROSPERO. Registering protocol for review is quite important to avoid biassnes when you start conducting your review
PROSPERO registration is desirable for systematic review, however it is not mandatory like clinical trials. Many journal accepted the review with registration only. It also depends on content and quality of review.
