Do I need to consider internal reflections in simulations?

I am simulating the transient pressure build up inside a piston-cylinder model to obtain a transient pressure wave on a commercial software. The time period of the oscillations, if expected, should be in terms of milliseconds. I tried and I got no oscillations. Do I need to use something to truncate the high frequency signals or is the monitor point in any software well equipped to monitor and filter out these oscillations and measure the right signal?

I got the answer for this question. The software has taken care of the internal reflections based on the physical equations the software used. Navier-stokes and momentum equation have in solved in 3 D, so the negative velocity has been taken care of.
