I would like to know whether human DCs are prone to produce CCL11, IL-5, IL-2 and CXCL9 under normal or any condition? Has this been reported in the literature?
All of them are cytokines or quemokines induced by inflammation. CCL11 is induced only by eosinophils leucocites which increase in alergic reaction. CXCL9 es a Monokine induced by gamma interferon and is a T-cell chemoattractant, which is induced by IFN-γ. It is closely related to two other CXC chemokines called CXCL10 and CXCL11, whose genes are located near the gene for CXCL9 on human chromosome 4. So in normal condition a lot of proteins that we take in the diet can increase a littlel bit this proteins and is normal. But in not good situation this proteins can increase a lot to do protection of the cells
As already stated, DCs do produce IL-5 and CXCL9, however there is debate on such cytokine production by DCs. IL-2 is indeed produced by human and mouse DCs ( see the attachment) and seems to be regulated by IL-15.
