If so then there might be two problems. The minimum (perpendicular) effective stress of tens of MPa at reservoir depth may close this fracture set unless mineral-filled with 'frozen' apertures, or unless rough (high JRC) and strong (high JCS) fractures. What about a conjugate set both under shear with apparent alignment with major principal stress? This makes for a better, more productive reservoir that tolerates compaction, due to shearing viz. Ekofisk.
