I am culturing KU812F basophilic suspension cells. After passage 8, some cells start to become adherent. Has anyone seen this before and does this affect the cell morphology as a basophil?
According to the author that isolated these cells:
"Growth of the liquid cultured cells was initiated within a week and their doubling time
was 20-30 h. They have been growing with a little adhesion and aggregation for more than 2.5 years. This cell line was coded as KU812 cell line. The morphological characteristics of KU812 differ slightly in each clone and according to culture conditions. Mainly, they were large myeloid blasts with basophilic cytoplasm without any granules, but some of them contained many azurophilic granules"
