Also, you can e-mail the conference chair to ask questions about the paper length of your article acceptable by this conference. You can also look for previous papers and posters of the conference if available or ask the chair if possible.

Hi all! I find poster sessions challenging. There are often so many unknowns and it depends a lot on whether it's "live" or "virtual." For live, I've been to them when there are dozens to hundreds of posters, and you just staff your poster set up and answer questions as folks "browse." Sometimes there's that and a more formal presentation, talk, or symposium appearance. Yes, folks mentioned checking with the conference folks/organization(s) staging the conference. I also like to chat with any folks I know who have attended that particular conference. Finally, the preparation and shipping can be a challenge. I suggest if staying at hotel, call them, ascertain the policy for shipments, and ensure package deliveries don't go to a central location - that can add days to the delivery to your room. For virtual, I'd suggest "testing" the way the poster looks, sizing, brightness, color, etc prior to the conference presentation. Ensure your mike is off if/when others are speaking - as we all know from the pandemic managing multiple questions virtually can be challenging and there's a lot of ambient noise.
