Hi All,

Ions transport in an aqueous electrolyte can be modelled using Nernst-Planck equation, which includes three terms of diffusion, migration and convection.

It seems that the same process can be modelled in COMSOL using 'Transport of diluted species" along with "Electrostatic" modules.

Is that correct? if Yes, what would be the main disparity between these two approaches?

Are they replaceable totally?

Any comments and help would be highly appreciated in advance
