The conventional war between two armies has been replaced by unconventional warfare, using all means to make states destroy themselves with their own army and people, as in the Arab countries today.
Both types of war can make people die or suffer atrocities and harsh conditions in masses. It doesn't matter what is the name of a war, it's still a war.
Three types of war have evolved, cognitive/cyber attacks (Article Cognitive Attacks in Russian Hybrid Warfare
), virus attacks (Ebola, Corona, etc.), Space Force (coordinated satellitary wave function alteration that can throw down or up an airplane/building/techtonic plate/person's brain https://www.military.com/space-force )
I put cyber attacks together with media attacks, since both are mostly electronic mediums with one target, your brain. Regarding cognitive/cyber attacks, since 1988 western media and under-regulated internet access have negatively influenced the youth lacking cognitive skills to critically evaluate media messages. Media literacy is the best defense against cognitive attacks, as Pocheptsov articulates the basic tactics of assault: 1. cognitive control is established by having the media coverage in the language of interested stake-holder; 2. if most audience members targeted have Russian, English, or Ukrainian as their primary, migrant, or Heritage language you consolidate all channels and messaging only in that language; 3. label as sub-human dissenters; 4. do not report any in country problems just scapegoat the opposition.
The traditional war caused more dies and more destruction of the country's infrastructure. While cyber-warfare causes less die and more losses in the economy of the target country. It could cause bankruptcy, Destruction of fiscal accounts, and other hard things.
We Human beings are given the choice to dwell on the earth with peace and tranquility. It is in our choice to be in peace (rather than war and hatred which shrinking lives, pleasures etc and brings starvation destruction and griefs).
Cyber warfare should not be thought of as computer against computer, but a much broader concept. It is an effort through cyber space or using a digital means to attack an opponent. These attacks could range from state-sponsored infiltration with the objective of disrupting information systems, to individual hackers trying to make a political statement or influence outcomes.
Therefore, as the current situation grows, we notice a significant increase in the effects of electronic warfare in accurate details of the security and stability of countries
Cyber warfare is a new advanced method of war in this world. All cyber attacks are not armed conflict in true sense. Few examples of cyber attacks can be cited as cyber war like attack in Iran. So it is quite difficult to say that Cyber war replaced the traditional war.
I work at a military university, where we have a faculty training scientists to fight cyberattacks, global cyberterrorism, we train cryptologists, mathematicians, IT specialists to fight cyber terrorism.
Cyber attacks can lead to more dangerous consequences than armed conflict, taking control of bank accounts, interference in medical equipment, access to personal data, taking control of power plants, energy, banking activities.
I don't think so, Cyber warfare is just a another form of warfare. One warfare can't take place to another. Each warfare has equal importance according to place, time, situation and objectives of a country. Recently we have seen Armenia- Azerbaijan military war for land.
